Overheard my partner talking about this online academic testing platform that requires students to have their webcam turned on during assessments. Said platform kicked out a student for not looking towards the camera, turns out they're blind and using a screen reader. 🤷♂️

In the Bedford-Stuysevant neighborhood of #Brooklyn, close to the Tompkins Ave-Hancock St intersection lives the so-called “Bed Stuy Aquarium”. Born out of a leaky fire hydrant and an unfinished sidewalk, this tiny pond is now the home of several goldfish.

Today we arrived by car in Bruges, Belgium. The plan was to immediately park the car until we leave on Monday but thanks to an inaccurate map and my inability to read Flemish street signs, we ended up driving in crowded pedestrian streets.

And on two occasions, presumably local men stood right in our path to prevent us from progressing. I’m not even mad, I’m impressed these two men would willingly lay down their lives to prevent cars from invading their Renaissance town.

At the farmer’s market in Brittany where I am this morning, a stall sells unclaimed Amazon packages for 29 €/kg, sight unseen.

They weren't as specific in the technical description, which will ward off way more than the people who use these devices. More generally, "we don't have the devices" is a poor excuse. They didn't even hint at having ever asked around. Finally, the contempt for "Mastodon" as a whole is a strong hint they don't care at all about people slightly different than them. It isn't surprising but it still is disappointing.

To answer your initial question, it seems to me that individual fetish spread is affected by the gender identity which depends on society's idea of gender as well.
