I had to put my dog down two days ago suddenly, and I'm still kinda broken.

He got me though the darkest times of my life, he would sit and watch me code for hours every night, building @PixelFed

We had so many amazing times together, but I can't help feel guilty and blame myself for not getting him help sooner.

I'd trade everything, including the kickstarter and grants just to have him back. He was my everything.

I want to apologize for my disrespectful comments about @vernissage

My reaction to the transition from Pixelfed was emotional and unprofessional.

While I felt hurt by how the changes were handled, expressing that through negative comments was wrong and immature.

This behavior doesn't reflect my values or the constructive dialogue I want to promote in our community.

I take full responsibility for my actions and will strive to engage more respectfully in the future.

And yeah, I'm getting dogpilled for some ignorant statements I made regarding the Canada Post strike because I was worried I could not pay rent.

It takes privilege to worry about pro-union sentiment when you are worried about becoming homeless.

@darnell @potus Yeah those situations are tough and everyone is affected.

It sucks that people think I'm some hyper capitalist anti-union monster, I am just someone who gets paid via mail. I empathize with the affected people and hope it gets resolved soon!

@darnell Yeah, honestly, I think its a complicated issue and I feel bad for the hard workers that deliver the mail and wish our gov't would meet their demands so we can get back to normal.

I meant that originally, I just should have clarified a bit, since I haven't been paid all month and was so worried about my finances.

I am considering a Bluesky approach to @loops, but in ActivityPub!

What I mean is that it will be vital to auth, discovery and the algorithmic FYP, for Loops to provide a centralized service and make it easy for users, while also allowing admins to opt-out and limit their Loops instance accordingly.

We can have the best of both worlds, and who knows, we may even support native AtProto eventually!

The goal is to empower short form video sharing, wherever possible!

Don't get me wrong, I love Mastodon and everything it's done for the fediverse

That being said, I don't want Loops to become the only short form video platform, or the only well known one

I'm working with @stux on his own short vid platform called #GoldFish and PeerTube to enable seamless interop

We're stronger and better together

There is no reason NOT to work with "competitors" because when you have the right mindset and goals:

You build for the people, and listen wisely.
