    @hamiller_friendica @crossgolf_rebel Ich muss da an Wikipedia und Signal denken. Beide bieten ihre Dienste kostenfrei an, aber benötigen für den Betrieb ihrer Dienste Geld. Prinzipiell wäre dies vergleichbar zu einer alternativen ATP-Infrastruktur, die dann wohl auch auf Spenden angewiesen wäre.

    @crossgolf_rebel @clemensg @utzer Die einzige wirkliche zentrale Struktur bei ATP ist AppView. Die PDS (da wo die Daten liegen) sind schon länger dezentral. Ich kenne AppView nur mäßig, aber ich schätze, dass es problemfrei sein müsste, mehrere AppView-Server parallel zu betreiben - auch so, dass beide die gleichen Daten hätten.

    @clemensg Das Fediverse hat technisch bedingt ein paar Geburtsfehler. Dazu gehört die Verteilung der Beiträge und die Verknüpfung des Usernamens mit dem dazugehörigen Server, auf dem die Daten sind. Das erschwert z.B. den Umzug der eigenen Daten auf andere Server.

    Die Struktur von Bluesky erlaubt es, sich zunächst bei beim Platzhirschen anzumelden, um dann ggf. zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt doch lieber woanders hinzugehen - ohne dass es andere überhaupt mitbekommen. Die diversen Umzugstechniken im Fediverse sind alle nur Notbehelfe.

    Einiges davon ließe sich mit Geld nachbauen. Im AT-Protocol sorgt AppView dafür, dass alle Server Zugriff auf alle Daten haben. Das könnte nach nachbauen.

    BTW: Spannenderweise wäre es sogar technisch möglich, AP in ATP zu kapseln und so deren Infrastruktur für das Fediverse zu nutzen.

    @oldie Es wäre sicherlich sinnvoll, wenn Friendica das hätte, nur hat sich bis jetzt keine Person gefunden, die es programmieren wollte. Du hast ja schon gesehen, dass im Repository über 1.300 Anfragen stehen. Gleichzeitig kommen Anfragen über die Gruppen rein. Um das zu bewältigen, bräuchte man sicherlich mehrere Dutzend Vollzeitkräfte.

    @crossgolf_rebel @feb @hiker @jele Friendica konvertiert Markdown beim Verfassen und versendet den Text dann mit der korrekten HTML-Formatierung. Somit kommt es immer mit der gewünschten Formatierung an. Eine Markdown-Konvertierung nur bei der Anzeige kann Probleme verursachen, da auch z.B. Text konvertiert werden könnte, der nicht dafür vorgesehen war.
