just to be extra sure in this, and that everyone is aware of the issue,
𝘪 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘰𝘭𝘥 that the 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗱𝗲 characters resembling bold and italics are interpreted correctly (as plain text) by screenreaders
Of course if people start writing posts using a gothic like font, that will annoy me as well
