    just to be extra sure in this, and that everyone is aware of the issue,
    π˜ͺ 𝘸𝘒𝘴 𝘡𝘰𝘭π˜₯ that the π˜‚π—»π—Άπ—°π—Όπ—±π—² characters resembling bold and italics are interpreted correctly (as plain text) by screenreaders

    Of course if people start writing posts using a gothic like font, that will annoy me as well

      @luca @atomicpoet @talksina @ed In this Case, Anna on NVDA, I still use the Vocalizer one, this Signs even make it not read out the Post at all. I wish I could fix that. I had to go Word by Word to get what you have written

      Please don’t use Unicode in place of real formatting. It is not accessible, and many screenreaders, which assist the blind and hard-of-sight, cannot decipher it.

      If formatting is that important to you, ask your server admin to support Markdown – which is a feature that many people on the Fediverse use, including myself. Hence why you can see italics in this post.
