    On the news they kept repeating that whatsapp had apologized to their users. Nobody stopped to think that something is seriously fucked up when so many people depend on it. It was a perfect opportunity to enter some meaningful debate on digital coherency. But the stupid dumb ass news anchor just reads the script. Capitalist shill.

    You build your own lists. On a profile page there's a "tags" field, so you can tag people with like #fedsocweb or #saunaclub and then to post to them you "mention" the hash tag and it's like writing all the nicks at once.

    So you can choose yourself who to include. Reasonably these lists could be shared and you could mention someone else's list.

    I think it would be better to use existing federated protocols for this, such as e-mail or Jabber/XMPP, rather than trying to jam it into OStatus. Typical problems with doing privacy-anything over the Web also apply

    @Yoric Myst, Riven and Exile were pretty awesome. I remember playing them with great awe.

    Also the #VRML standard for virtual reality on the web. Unfortunately it didn't really survive.

    @uddaboktips Ifall det inte finns någon annan skillnad mellan könen än vad som finns mellan våra ben - vilket ju är valbart i dagens Sverige - så tycker jag att representationen av män och kvinnor borde vara lika stor på detta område. Eller har vi samhällets patriarkala struktur att skylla för att kvinnor är underrepresenterade bland internettokarna? Eller är det _din_ bias för att du hellre enligt en freudiansk cigarrsträvan egentligen eftersöker män framför kvinnor i denna sensationella jakt på iögonfallande rubriker?

    Regardless, they're pretty pointless for anything but gathering data - it's very seldom that anyone wants to look at what the photographer actively chose _not_ to look at.
