Yesterday I configured <CR> to run RSpec with the current file in a separate tmux session and window, and I'm never going back!

Plus I somehow managed to speed up RSpec a bit using bundler --standalone and spring and stuff.

I'll put it up on my blog sometime this week. It's too good not to. (And no, this is nothing new, it's been out there for a while, but now it works for me, too. :D )

@leah @daniel_bohrer Als ich in Mexiko das Jahr komplett von zuhause aus gearbeitet habe, habe ich über etliche Monate meine Nettozeit gemessen. So richtig nen Timer pomodoro-style gestellt und die Pausen nicht mitgemessen.

20h pro Woche war normal. 25h wenn es richtig super lief. Das aufs Büro umgerechnet komme ich auf 35h, die ich sinnvoll "arbeiten" kann. Grob.

Fazit: es ist recht verbreitet, und der Gewinn an Lebensqualität ist enorm.

Das ist natürlich auch genau, was ich hören wollte. 😄

@leah @daniel_bohrer Kommt auch sehr darauf an, wie man misst. :)

@Nasenspray Ja. Da muss das Team und die Firma drauf eingestellt sein. Deswegen frage ich, ob das woanders so auch ist. Scheint wohl. Habe gerade hier null Chancen auf Teilzeit.

@leah 80% reicht mir vollkommen. 60% wäre mir dann auch schon fast zu wenig, um fester Teil im Team zu sein. Aber wer weiß.

@leah Das Zeit absitzen ist super ätzend. Ich bin regelmäßig nach 6 oder allerallerspätestens 7 Stunden Arbeit durch und kann nix sinnvolles mehr leisten. Aber ich muss noch im Büro bleiben. Totaler Quatsch. Deswegen versuche ich schon, mehr Pausen einzubauen. Ich weiß, dass mein Output pro Woche limitiert ist. Hätte ich weniger vorgeschriebene Arbeitszeit würde ich ähnlich viel schaffen.

Das Limit pro Tag finde ich sehr gut! Muss auch sein.

Habt ihr Erfahrung mit Teilzeitarbeit? Wie üblich ist das in euren Firmen?

Wo auch immer ich in Zukunft arbeiten werde, habe ich große Lust auf 80% zu reduzieren. Geldmäßig reicht das, Output im Job wird immernoch über 80% liegen, und der Gewinn an Lebensqualität ist glaube ich unbezahlbar.
