@jsit @bsky.app Technically, you're probably also breaking laws in Afghanistan, Iran, North Korea and so on. The question is, do you care? I'm not a lawyer, so I can't answer that for you specifically, but 10.000+ fediverse operators across the world get to make that decision for themselves.

@Gargron @jsit @bsky.app Unlike Afghanistan, Iran or North Korea, the US has got a legal system where they can - and will - enforce their rights all over the world. And especially when you are a Fediverse operator who is based in the US, especially in Mississippi, then you will face legal problems, since the law doesn't specify any minimal size of the service, see here:
