Imagine there’s a button that when pressed would immediately change your body from what you have now, to that of a goose. You can only press the button once. When pressed everyone will have known you in this new form the whole time, so there’s no social impact at all.

    Would you press that button?

If so you may be transgander 🪿

      1. The Button Test: How A Button Press Helps Trans People Find Themselves
        from Erin Reed
The button test is a mind experiment that has helped many transgender people transition. I dive into a little bit of deep trans lore to help you explore how people come to terms with their gender.

@mattgrayyes @ErinInTheMorn It's an interesting test. Although I suppose there will be some false positives. For example, I think I wouldn't hesitate for a second, even though I've never had the impression that I was born in the wrong body - but I think I would find the idea fascinating.

I find it fascinating that the trans community has developed this test themselves. I think that makes it a lot more accurate than some tests that have been developed by people who don't know the feeling of uncertainty of being trans or not.
