I just recently discovered EurKEY which is the same but has better support for our favorite Umlauts. Previously I constantly switched between US & German and sometimes Spanish layouts.
But that's another topic.
I write more English than German. So I'm not sure NEO would be a good fit for me. Also, Vim is where I spend most of my time, and I don't want to lose the home row navigation keys..
