Frustrating thing with GDPR and how it's been implemented, as mentioned to @aral, is that it breaks accessibility.
I have limited dexterity in my hands so a lot of movement absolutely kills. Constant clicking to read an article I may not like after a paragraph means I can easily spend several times more time trying to attain privacy than using the website itself. It's not workable, it's punishment for refusing and it locks people out of the web if they want to exercise rights.
