   Hat jemand Hintergrund, weshalb DAVdroid umbenannt werden musste? Lag das wirklich an dem "droid"? Muss sich dann auch der FDroid bald umbenennen? Finde das eine sehr problematische Entwicklung, wenn eine Firma Freie Software ausbaut und dann komplett den Namen für sich claimt.

     @reticuleena Soweit ich weiss, kann mensch DAVdroid im Google-Playstore auch kaufen. Vielleicht reicht das schon. Bin aber auch kein Anwalt.

     @reticuleena Mit Firefox gibt es ja auch Markenprobleme, wenn ein selbstgebautes Binary distributiert wird. Daher gibt es Fennec, Icecat, ... als Rebranding.

     @reticuleena Das geht definitiv zu weit. Wenn Google aber schon "Don't be evil." aufgibt, dann ist das auch nur konsequent. ☹️

     @reticuleena Die Wortmarke "Droid" gehört Lucasfilm Ltd., unter anderem in der Nizzaklasse 9 (Mobiltelefone, Zubehör und Software) und 38 (Kommunikation). Könnte passen.
