     That Google thing. HardenedBSD is clearly a project secret services on all continents want to fail. For shure, all developers and users will get tracked, wordwide. But that is much easier if you use infrastructure under their control. Like a mailing list. That is what its all about. My suggestion is, try to get as much as possible done with relative links and establish step by step your own infrastructure with people you personally know.

     Yes, getting not compromised with that next step will be for shure a challenge.
     How about asking people proven to be enthusiastic? Personally, I would look into Sweden...
