   I seem to remember some years ago when the W3C said they'd start using some proprietary shit for conference calls (when I was trying to interest myself in some of the coming web standards). It obviously meant I couldn't join in on the discussion.

     I of course still can't cooperate due to requirement of being a GitHub customer, but then I can at least read discussions and contact people.via third party channels.
