@nightpool a status that isn't a status would be super confusing in terms of API. but maybe special error message... uh i guess another problem is not storing info on whether a feed has been generated or not anywhere. it just is or isn't.

@nightpool i could do it in a hacky way and if the authorized user has >0 follows but empty home, show a specialized message

@nightpool yes... i wonder how to communicate that API wise - *why* the feed is empty... showing the generic "you are not following anyone" message is definitely confusing

@nightpool there's a before_action that updates last login time if previous last login time is more than a day away, and queues up a RegenerationWorker if it's more than 14 days away. something in there seems to not work. why do i not have a test spec for that? 🤔

@Technowix @animeirl @lambadalambda when you login the cache gets regenerated. or it's bugged, which is what i'm gathering.

I can't stop google from indexing public pages but there's a difference between "possible" and "convenient". There's already hashtags for when you *want* to be discovered via some keyword.
