    @der Er macht beides - und hat schon sowohl mit dem Systemhaus als auch mit den Herstellern negative Erfahrungen gehabt. Er scheint das echt anzuziehen. Er hat recht häufig Probleme, die keiner lösen kann, von denen sich dann aber herausstellt, dass es tatsächlich Probleme sind.

    @der Den "Brandname" hat er nicht. Die Supportgebühren zahlt er trotzdem. Er kleckert nicht bei der EDV, er klotzt. (Sowas wie 3fach redundante Anbindung für Internet, 2fach für Telefon, zwei räumlich getrennte Serverräume, Server in feuersicheren Tresoren, ...)

    @der Das war - soweit ich weiß - etwas, was hocheskalierte. Aber der Kunde hat sowieso ständig Probleme mit gebrochenen Supportversprechen bei Dienstleistern. (Beispielsweise diese "Austausch innerhalb von 24 Stunden"-Dinge, die dann mal eine Woche dauern)

    @der Er hatte irgendwann mal massive VM-Probleme (Ausfall) und der Support war wohl auch nicht gerade hilfreich. (Obwohl er einen entsprechenden Supportvertrag mit schnellen Reaktionszeiten hatte)

    @der Mein Kunde ist damals von VMWare auf Hyper-V migriert. Er ist sehr zufrieden. (Und er ist anspruchsvoll und belastet die VMs auch massiv)

    @der Sie rücken nicht raus, welche Storage-Technik sie nutzen. Aber sie können Systeme nicht von einem Server zum anderen transferieren. Und sie sagten mir, dass meine I/O-Probleme von einem anderen VServer auf dem Host stammen würde. Also werden sie wohl Platten direkt im jeweiligen Host nutzen.
