Then use the login.html (you can create a new user there). If this all doesn't work, you can use the commandline to create a new user. See for the commands: createwalletuser + sendnewusertransaction from http://twister.net.co/?page_id=58

Yeah, you won't have to do much as usual admin tasks in twister. Compile new versions, that's it mostly, but there are people using still versions from 1 year ago

did you enable in your options splitting? then you can write as much as you want and the msg gets automatically split for you. quite neat

RT @aqeel !Twister is the easiest federated social network that I have tried installing. Installs on local computer, no need for 100% uptime, getting a domain name or getting an SSL certificate, not to mention federation works out of the box without any issue. After playing with most of the alternatives, this seems like magic!

The only reason for me to look at the "promoted posts" tab is also: to look for new users and welcome them. So, in that view it's a detection mechanism, since new users try out the "mining" in the sense: what does this do?

I have a weak device, thus: for me creating a promoted message would cost too much, it's not worth it. Not only when I think about the environment. I don't also need to mine to use twister, that is. I have posted on the twister mailing list (1), let's see the discussion. I guess it'd be interesting to get to know what people with good machines think about this.
